FAQ — Selling WW2 Militaria | BuyAndSellWWII.com

Question 1

How does the free appraisal work?

Accepted Answer

Send us clear photos of your item along with any history you know — where it came from, country of origin, any markings. We'll review them and respond with an honest assessment of value and a fair offer. No fee, no obligation.

Question 2

How quickly will I get a response?

Accepted Answer

We typically respond within 10 minutes during business hours. We check messages throughout the day and make it a priority to get back to sellers quickly.

Question 3

Do you charge for appraisals?

Accepted Answer

Never. Our appraisals are completely free. Some other WW2 buying sites charge up to $35 just to look at your item — we think that's wrong. If you're curious what something is worth, just ask.

Question 4

What if my item turns out to be worth very little?

Accepted Answer

We'll tell you honestly. Not every WW2 item is worth a lot of money, but all are historically interesting. We'll give you a straight answer either way — no inflated appraisals to get your business.

Question 5

What types of WW2 items do you buy?

Accepted Answer

We buy virtually everything: helmets, medals, insignia, uniforms, caps, daggers, swords, firearms, flags, documents, photo albums, trench art, field gear, and vet bring-backs. Individual pieces and large collections are both welcome.

Question 6

Do you buy items from all countries?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We buy WW2 militaria from all nations — US, German, Japanese, Russian, Italian, British, French, and more. We have expertise across all theaters of the war.

Question 7

Do you buy Nazi or Third Reich items?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We buy Third Reich and SS militaria strictly as historical artifacts for preservation and education. We do not condone any political or hate groups. All items are treated with historical neutrality and respect.

Question 8

Do you buy reproductions or replicas?

Accepted Answer

We only buy original, authentic WW2 items. We don't purchase reproductions, replicas, or post-war commemorative items. If you're unsure whether your item is original, send us photos and we'll let you know.

Question 9

Do you accept donations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Donations of WW2 militaria are happily accepted and appreciated. If you have items you'd like to donate rather than sell, please contact us.

Question 10

How do you determine what to pay?

Accepted Answer

We base our offers on current market values, condition, rarity, and historical significance. We aim to pay fair, top-dollar prices — not the lowball offers you might get at a pawn shop or from dealers who flip items for profit.

Question 11

How quickly will I get paid?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, payment is made the same day we reach an agreement — often within an hour of your accepting our offer.

Question 12

What payment methods do you use?

Accepted Answer

We pay via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, money order, or Western Union — whichever is most convenient for you.

Question 13

How should I ship my items?

Accepted Answer

We recommend USPS Priority Mail with insurance for most items. Once we agree on a price, we'll walk you through the safest and most cost-effective way to ship your specific items.

Question 14

Who pays for shipping?

Accepted Answer

Shipping costs are typically deducted from the purchase price, or we can arrange prepaid shipping labels for larger purchases. We'll discuss this when we make our offer.

Question 15

Can you pick up large collections?

Accepted Answer

For large collections, we can sometimes arrange pickup. Contact us to discuss the details.
